Why not try meditation?

We offer a CD by post that contains 3 meditation exercises that are exclusive to us. They are interspersed with time to complete the exercises and relaxing music.

Stress-related conditions, such as insomnia, high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, asthma and PMT, have been shown to benefit from meditation, and many people believe it has helped them give up the alcohol, smoking and tranquillisers that were ruining their lives. Research from around the world supports these claims, and Doctors too, are singing its praises. On average people who meditate visit their doctor 50% less than those who don’t. Over two thousand British Doctors recommend and practice meditation.

Reducing stress
Stress can directly cause panic attacks, anxiety and depression and is related to many other problems. 20 out of 22 stressed volunteers improved significantly following an eight-week course of meditation.

Making you happier and brighter
Meditators are less irritable, or depressed and have self-worth. It improves memory, creativity, productivity, efficiency and energy levels. Students practising meditation increased their IQ by five points in two years.

Boosting memory and concentration
Business people are aware that their success rests on thinking clearly - and being able to switch off. Practising meditation can help the work-obsessed to relax at the end of a stressful day.

Keeping you young
Meditation may be the easiest way to stay young. A group of 50 year old meditators were shown to be as fit and healthy as 38 year olds. People who meditate regularly are also likely to live longer.

Regulating blood pressure and improving heart health
High blood pressure paves the way for stroke and coronary heart disease. A recent American study found that meditation reduced blood pressure and other cardiac related problems by a level similar to that produced by drug therapy. A 1987 study found that meditators had an 87 per cent less heart disease hospitalisation rate than people who were not meditators. Meditation gives rest to parts of the anatomy that otherwise never rest, even in sleep. It strengthens the immune system and enables the body to recover quickly after injury or illness.

Sport
Anyone who meditates will experience increased performance in sporting activities.

Well-being
Meditation induces higher knowledge and inner tranquillity, answers to problems manifest themselves; deeper levels of consciousness are made available automatically.
